Vienna the former capital of the Habsburg Empire, has been described as urban ease personified. Its superb planning and insanely efficient public transport system make it a delight to visit. Spiralling out from Stephansdom its gothic cathedral in its centre, Vienna has many gorgeous sights. A visit to the Naschmarkt Vienna's open air food market and to its famous theatre the Burgtheater are not to be missed. Vienna is bustling full of gallerys and museums and caters for the contemporary art lover as well as the traditional. The Museumsquartier arts centre and the Leopold museum are particularly good examples, with the traditionalist probably favouring the Austrian Gallery with its Klimts and Schieles. Just outside the city is Viennas largest attraction, the Habsburgs Summer palace with its acres of glorious gardens and the worlds oldest zoo. Vienna's relaxed club scene has 'Flex' at its heart, where the now famous DJ duo Kruder & Dorfmeister still regularly man the sound system.
